Suggestion from January 25 2017
Wine: 2014 Givry "Clos Marole"
Producer: Domaine Joblot
Comment: This too is aromatically very pretty with its essence of red and black cherry, spice and discreet earth nuances. There is a highly seductive mouth feel to the velvety and mouth coating flavors that possess a lovely sense of vibrancy on the focused, complex and once again, ever-so-slightly rustic finale. This appears to be more harmonious than the Pied de Chaume.

Each week we feature a different Burgundy rated as a top value by Burghound. While there will be a mix of vintages, most wines featured will be those that can normally be found at a variety of fine wine retailers. Each wine will be described and rated with a suggested window of peak drinkability indicated after the numerical score.
